What I think ~Cute-Rohan-Girl is talking about is that the character looks almost just like Terra Branford from Final Fantasy VI. The pose is probably from page 15 of "More How to Draw Manga: Mastering Bishoujo Characters." (I know those books way to well.) I'm not accusing you of anything bad though. Using pre-existing poses for reference is not only common, it's recommended for those that can't afford a nude model or a copy of Poser (i.e. most of us). I use reference poses all the time.

However, this character does have a strong resemblance to Terra Branford. (The in-game sprites of her as opposed to the Yoshitaka Amano drawings of her.) It's mainly the colors that gives me that empression.

Not a bad job at all on it. My only complants with it is the hair on her arm (just doesn't look as flowing as the rest of her hair) and that you should probably trade in that scanner for a new one. =P I've got a CanoScan LiDE 35 (and used to have an older model til it goes struck by lightning) and it is relativily cheap and scans very well.
